The Elite Building Group is the evolution of John S. Long II’s time working with his father and grandfather under the trusted and respected Long’s Construction brand – where the team took on projects large and small.
John’s ambitions ultimately culminated in a passion for creating unique, exceptional, custom homes, and he launched the Elite Building Group to serve discerning clientele in West Virginia and Virginia.

Team
John S. Long II
Living his dream and continuing his family’s legacy, John S. Long II leads Elite Building Group, a custom home builder located in wild and wonderful West Virginia.
John is a third generation builder and brings experience and expertise to his projects.
His exposure started early and his skillset and knowledge grew quickly – working his earliest years with his father (and grandfather) under the trusted and respected Long’s Construction brand – where the team took on projects large and small – from roof jobs, repairs, decks, home renovations to custom homes and spec-houses.
Through this crucial phase of his experience-building, John was exposed to all facets of carpentry, home building, and property development – including work with log homes & timber frames, concrete, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, roads, and landscaping.
Via the Elite Building Group that John founded in 2013 – he and his team specializes in elegant, large-format, mountain custom homes – and the Elite team seeks challenging, memorable projects.
John is a problem solver and coordinator, organizing and bringing together disparate elements, vendors, workers, sub-contractors and more to work in harmony towards the creation of the client’s vision.
With an exceptional understanding, a broad grasp, and a strong sense of visualization and assessment, John and his team work hard to make the home-owner’s dreams come true.
Adam Roediger
Adam brings a combination of education, experience, work and business ethics to the Elite team.
Adam has tinkered with things his whole life – taking things apart, learning from them, rebuilding, repairing, and improving. Later studied structural and geotechnical engineering and graduated with honors from the University of Illinois.
Exceptional morals, responsibility and intelligence make him an incredible asset.
Adam has an uncanny ability to find problems in blueprints and utilize creative problem solving to address, and has a strong interest in unique lighting design.
Adam’s professional experience led him to meeting John and becoming a part of the Elite team, which has opened doors for him to flourish in a new environment of mega custom home building.
